A really thoughtful piece, Kyle — it resonated with me. Many of the leadership qualities you have and shared here are ones I strive to embody too. Over the past few years leading a big team, I’ve taken a lot of pride in being the go-to person for supporting colleagues, leadership, board members and team members in every way possible.
Though I’m noticing how much of my energy and focus go into this and leave my little ones, family and home-life without enough of me. Thanks for sharing! Great work, great decision and wishing you all the best!
It's crazy to think we're going to be wrapping things up here at SAS after all these years! We love it here AND it's time for a new season. That's been an important part of this process, recognizing that multiple things can be true at the same time and then deciding which is more important for us at this time.
Caelyn asked me my guiding principle for a school project and it took me a minute to think of it. When I asked Derrick what he thought mine was he immediately said “truth,” which was the fact one I picked. Keeps me humble and curious when I don’t know what’s true, but keeps me steadfast and immovable when I do know what’s true.

That is an incredibly brilliant idea.

I can totally see that based on our conversations! That’s such a great one
